Environmental Regulations / Fees:

AB 68 (Brownley) – Places a minimum fee of 25 cents on customers for one-time-use bags at point-of-sale. A Bag Pollution fund would be established via payment from stores to the State Board of Equalization. Similar to AB 87. (Stopped in Committee)

AB 87 (Davis) – Places a minimum fee of 25 cents on customers for one-time-use bags at point-of-sale. This bill has similar provisions to AB 68 (Brownley) above. (Stopped in Committee)

AB 925 (Saldana) – Prohibits a retailer from selling or offering for sale a single use plastic beverage container with a cap that is not tethered to or continuously affixed to the beverage container. (Stopped in Committee)

AB 1358 (Hill) – Prohibits the dispensing of prepared food or beverage in a disposable expanded polystyrene container on January 1, 2012. (Stopped in Committee)
